Stimulating & spirited or
serene & soporific
...You decide.
Antigua is just 108 square miles, so for those wanting to explore and ‘see the sights’ it is quite possible to drive around the island within one day!
There are many secluded beaches to escape to, but if driving doesn’t appeal, you will be pleased to know that Jolly Beach is rated one of the best beaches on Antigua.
There are many activities to keep even the liveliest entertained including snorkelling, windsurfing, waterskiing, deep sea fishing, catamaran trips, wildlife tours, helicopter rides, etc.
You can hike the trails around Antigua's historical hilltop forts, or cycle through the picturesque countryside.
……In contrast, you could simply saunter to the beach, lay down your towel and not move a muscle all day (except of course to apply the sun tan lotion!)
The villa is ideally located for access to main towns and sites of interest. Local buses and taxis can be found at the entrance to the Jolly Harbour complex and drivers are
usually more than happy to assist in getting you to wherever you may wish to go, day and night.
The lively capital of Antigua, St John’s, is just a twenty minute bus journey away and is well worth visiting to sample the true culture and Antiguan way of life.
Jolly harbour itself boasts an 18 hole golf course, a swimming pool, tennis courts, squash court, casino, a variety of restaurants and bars, a range of small shops selling gifts and art, beauty salon and boat charters.
On a more practical note there is a large supermarket which stocks all the basics you will need for your holiday such as food, alcohol and toiletries. There is also a pharmacy, bank, laundry service and variety of car rental companies.
